What is happening at 35 weeks? According to the several sites I researched our son is now almost 6 pounds and over 18 inches long! In fact, one site compared the weight of the baby to a honeydew melon. The kidneys are fully developed and the liver is functioning. The baby continues to kick with ferocity. He appears most active in the morning and at night. The wave of body parts on the outside of my belly while he kicks is in full force at about 9:30 every night. Apparently during this week my uterus has now started to creep under my rib cage. I can totally vouch for this because not only does he enjoy kicking me in the ribs everything feels cramped (all those organs are under pressure now and this means my bladder as well). I have noticed in the last three days I am going to the bathroom what appears to be every 20 minutes. Nighttime is torture because I feel as though I have just fallen asleep when suddenly I have awoken to another full bladder. I am getting increasingly excited and impatient as it gets closer.
