Sometimes I read articles in the myriad of workout magazines that I get, and most are thought provoking, or creative,or informative. Every once in a while, I read one that makes me think...do these people have good common sense? Such an article appeared in the November, 09' Health Magazine with the title " Do You Really Need To Exercise To Loose Weight?" Really? You have to ask? Especially as we age and our metabolism goes down?
The story was confronting a controversial study done by the Public Library of Science. It said that woman who worked out for 6 months were no more likely to loose weight than those women who didn't work out at all. Baloney! The author said the study was misleading. It didn't focus on the calories. It showed that if you eat poorly and workout, you won't loose weight. AMAZING! Can't come up with that conclusion on their own? A gigundo bowl of white pasta will not be worked out with a 30 minute walk with a friend at a leisurely pace.
OK people, in case there is any confusion: Eating healthy and exercise, in combination will help you loose weight . If you do either one with out the other, you won't see the same results. There you go. Couldn't have come up with that one on our own. Enough said
